The client

We Electronics is a boutique electronic shopping company based in Lagos, Nigeria. They specialize in procuring and selling a wide range of home electronics, including gadgets like laptops, phones, and phone accessories. With a focus on affordability, We Electronics aims to provide high-quality products at competitive prices. They primarily target the youthful population and utilize social media platforms for their marketing efforts.

The challenge

We Electronics come to Oniontabs with a challenge to establish a brand identity that would effectively communicate trust, affordability, and elegance. They recognized the need to differentiate themselves in a competitive market and wanted their brand to resonate with their target audience. Additionally, We Electronics sought to create a visual identity that could be scaled effectively across various marketing materials and merchandise.

The solution

To address We Electronics' challenges and meet their objectives, we developed a brand identity design solution that encompassed logo design, color palette selection, typography, and merchandise/packaging design.

Logo Design

Understanding the need for a visually striking and memorable logo, we created a monogram of the brand initials "WE" for We Electronics. The logo design is clean, modern, and scalable, reflecting the company's commitment to professionalism and quality. The monogram is visually engaging and easily recognizable, making it suitable for various applications, including digital platforms and physical merchandise.

Color Palette and Typography

To evoke feelings of trust and affordability, we selected a color palette that included blue and orange tones. Blue represents trust, reliability, and technology, while orange represents affordability, energy, and enthusiasm. The combination of these colors adds a vibrant touch to the brand identity while maintaining a sense of elegance and approachability.

For typography, we curated a font system that balanced readability, modernity, and elegance. The selected fonts were versatile and legible, ensuring clear communication of brand messages across different mediums.

Merchandise and Packaging Design

To create a cohesive brand experience, we extended the brand identity to merchandise and packaging materials. We designed merchandise such as t-shirts, tote bags, and stickers, incorporating the brand logo and colors to enhance brand visibility and recognition. The packaging materials, including boxes and bags, were designed to align with the brand identity, featuring the logo and color palette, providing a consistent and memorable unboxing experience for customers.

The Result

The new brand identity successfully positioned We Electronics as a trustworthy and affordable electronics company, appealing to its youthful target audience. The new brand identity, with its clean and modern logo, striking color palette, and versatile typography, effectively communicated the brand's values and differentiated We Electronics from competitors in the market.
