The client
Chambel Concept is a fashion design and fashion merchandise brand based in Abuja, Nigeria. They are into the design and tailoring of modern African wear and attires. They also do mass production and sell fashion merchandise. With Chambel Concept, your goal of looking elegant and classic while feeling maximum comfort is achieved with ease.
The challenge
Wakawaka Nigeria was looking to have a strong online presence and to also build their online store. The CEO of the company contacted us because he was not comfortable with the logo they were using. To achieve the level of results and trust they were targeting, they know that it will not be possible with their former identity hence the need for a redesign.
The solution
We help Wakawaka Ng develop a unique and timeless identity that reflects the DNA of the brand. Update the brand’s colour palette and typography, and design stationery, merchandise, and marketing materials.
Reflecting the message of running the errand of electronic shopping for customers
We were just supposed to refresh the brand's existing logo, but after following that path with lots of concept exploration, we still couldn't get the effectiveness we were aiming for.
In pivoting to a complete redesign, we retained an element from the original former logo as requested by the client; A feet. This captures their message of running the errand of electronic shopping for their customers as portrayed in the brand name.
The mark works well as a ‘WN’ monogram. The foot incorporated as a negative space in the mark is in a motion state. This follows the slanting direction of the letters which overall celebrate the speedy delivery that the brand prides itself in.
Design of stationery, merchandise, and marketing materials.
The project expanded to include stationery design (letterhead, business card, and ID card), and some merchandise design. Marketing materials include stickers designed for placement on products, slide show images for the online store, and advertising creatives for products promotion.
A simple Brand style guide was designed to guide the client on how to use the brand elements and help maintain structure and visual impact across print and digital applications.
The result
With the launch of its online store around March 2021 alongside unveiling the new identity, the brand has recorded massive success; Doubling its MRR in three months.
